Our Story

Throughout 2020, the children in our community struggled in so many ways. Our owner recognized this struggle in her own family as she was unable to find therapeutic resources for her son. She then developed a program called Mobile Milestones, a mobile outpatient clinic that served the children of Rhode Island and Southern Mass right in their homes. 

Although this program has seen great success over the past year, the team began to recognize the need for a clinic space that treated the social and developmental skills, severely impacted by the pandemic. Typically developing children as well as children with special needs have lost so much over the past year due to social isolation, lack of movement, and limited play with peers. Thus, Bizzy Bees Therapy was created as a safe haven for children to grown and learn.

Although northern Rhode Island has a robust population with large amounts of young families, it lacks a pediatric specific facility that treats occupational, physical and speech therapy. Our fully ADA accessible clinic was built conveniently located with close proximity to Rt 146, Rt 116 and 295. Parents no longer have to haul children down into the city after a long day of school for therapy services.

Additionally, our clinic aims to support the health of the entire family. With our large variety of groups, siblings will be able to participate in the fun! We are located right next to a beautiful bike path along the Blackstone River for a much needed peaceful break for parents. Down stairs will soon be host to a brand new cafe and brewery, perfect for taking a much needed moment.

Your child's safety is our highest priority. Our high tech security system allows us to see all rooms at all times. It even allows you to watch your kiddo in the treatment room to view their progress! Building a space during a pandemic allowed us to have the intent focus of infection control, cleaning protocols and spacing. Our clinicians and staff maintain the highest levels of both physical and emotional safety for each child we treat.
